Recycling

At London Refuse we have embraced recycling as a part of
our business recognising that it is something which is becoming
more and more important in everyday life and will inevitably
become legislation that all commercial enterprises must have
some form of recycling facility in place within their working
environment.
Therefore London Refuse has devised simple methods that
can be implemented within your business to maximise the effect
your company has on recycling. The recycling element is actually
quite a simple process; we would provide colour coded bags
for your building - different colours for different recyclables.
You use these bags in the bins and dispose of them in the
normal way as each bag is filled and they are collected daily
along with rest of your waste.
The main recyclable that most buildings produce is office
paper . We can provide your business with bags or bins for
use on each floor or office which will not only save on your
waste bills but help ease the problems with landfill sites
and diminishing woodlands.
DID YOU KNOW? OVER 80% OF YOUR OFFICE PAPER IS SUITABLE
FOR RECYCLING!!
Cardboard needs nothing more than to be flat packed and
neatly stacked for collection with a London Refuse 'cardboard
sticker' certifying it for collection and recycling.
For glass and bottles , white bags can be used - usually
via a 'bottle bin' in the restaurant or staff canteen that
is empted once or twice daily.
For general non-recyclable waste green bags are used.
All our bags and stickers can be ordered in quantities of
50 and include everything from VAT to daily collection and
disposal plus recycling. For prices click here
For a more detailed assessment of how your business is able
to recycle the please contact our environment department

Unfortunately, we are unable to collect items such as light
bulbs, printer cartridges or aluminum cans as part of the
daily service because these items are not produced in large
enough quantities. However, we can arrange for these items
to be collected on demand once certain quantities have been
collected.
